hey,

we would like to introduce Alfresco Desktop Sync in our organisation in Poland, but our testers found problem with Polish characters (such as ąęśćłóżź and capital of those) in filenames, additionally this problem occurs only on MacOSX operating system. Files with names containing those characters aren't getting synced at all or Polish characters are replaced with some wierd things, mostly "?".

Are you using UTF-8 encoding in Alfresco Sync? Can you please try to reproduce bug on your side and give us some feedback abut this?

Lukasz Szwajkowski

Hello Lukasz,

Mac OS X uses unusual Unicode equivalences that are not used on Windows/Linux.
This often leads to problems such as the one you describe, so I suspect this is the problem here.

The same problem was actually present in CmisSync, and got fixed a year ago.
So I suggest using CmisSync until the problem gets fixed in Alfresco Desktop Sync too.

Cheers!
