    <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;hello,&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;The present mechanism of auditing in alfresco requires one to view using show_audit.ftl.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;My requirement is a global mechanism where in an administrator can audit/monitor all the activities at the end of the day, without moving to a particular space/content.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;I am not even sure if this is achievable or not.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Please help! &lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;I'm new to ALfresco, any kind of help is welcome.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;show_audit.ftl is just the one way to show the audit trails.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;In fact when you enable auditing and configure it to audit the selective operations It will audit all information in the db.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Now it is your choice how you want to show this information. &lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Thanks Mits!&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;That was a very quick response..&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;But as far as I know I havn't configured any database with my alfresco instance.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;I may sound novice to you, but could you please explain it to me a little more?&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;An example or something?&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;I am also reading the basics from alfresco wiki.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Francesco, Thanks for your input.       <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;You just need to configure the auditing though the xml files which are lying under&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;&amp;lt;tomcat_home&amp;gt;\webapps\alfresco\WEB-INF\classes\alfresco\audit&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Alfresco will take care of creating new audit related tables and populate them.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;You just need to select what are the things which you want to be audited.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Now all your audit information is stored in the audit tables you can use them in whatever way you like.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>
