I can confirm this behaviour. The Execute Action section of a rule does not render select controls for actions execute script, add aspect or transform.

did you solve the problem since 17 of august ? I have exactly the same behaviour when trying to create a rule which launches a script : no dropdown list of available scripts.

As I know there is no solution yet. To set up a script e.g. you can paste the nodeRef (workspace://SpacesStore/XXX) of the script into the input form.

I even do not know if it will be fixed in the new version, you may try the early access version Alfresco Community Edition file list 201609-EA

I still have the bug but found a workaround :

- find the node address of the script you want to apply. For example : workspace://SpacesStore/bb44c6fe-3a76-4a6e-b584-f037259927c2
you cand find it in the url of the script in the data dictionary or in the html code of the form for the rule .

- paste the node address in the text input.

That's done.

now waiting for a patch.

I cannot recreate this problem with 201605-GA running on Mac OS X, see screenshot.

I tested both with files created in the online editor as well as files uploaded to the Scripts folder.

Do you have any AMPs or other customizations installed?

I have the problem in two fresh install on windows 10 and windows server 2012, both 64bits.

No AMP or customization.

installer : alfresco-community-installer-201604-win-x64.exe

no dropdown list for choosing the script.

with french flavor 😉

Have you completely cleared out your browser cache? If so, and the problem persists, it must be something Windows-specific.

Problem persists with chrome and firefox, after cleaning the cache. But I just tested in Opera and it works like a charm. So, not a server-side problem (?).

You should try to use the browser's web developer tools and try to identify any http call error or any javascript error using the console.

May this be related with a non English installation, in which "Data Dictionary" folder in english does not exist ? This will be compatible with jeff and gbousquet.

YES, thats the problem!

The problem with missing SelectBox values exists, if I use Alfresco Share with German as default Browser language. If I change the Browser language to english, SelectBoxes are rendered and values exists.

So I think that´s the issue Thanks

(It is also a simple workaround with this Alfresco version)

I know the problem you are talking about, but I don't think it is related with the problem tepee _ is facing.

I have some servers installed with the language configured as Brazilian Portuguese, and the Data Dictionary folder is called Dicionário de Dados.

All the scripts are shown ok.

This is the bean responsible for getting the javascript files list: community-edition/action-services-context.xml at 2c1eff9953d3105e738f7b06ba9ba8a079ca4c24 · Alfresco/community-edition ·…

As you can see, the search path is /app:company_home/app:dictionary/app:scripts

I don't believe that is the main cause of this problem.

Maybe corrupted solr indexes?

tepee _ Have you tried to perform a full reindex on this repository?

Besides, michael.mrotzek _ previous comment is related to a different issue (in a different layer), that I mentioned in the upper link. Regarding the corruption of the indexes, it is somehow strange because he is finding *js files when his language browser is setted to English.

I can confirm this behaviour. Using "german" as Primary Language in the Browser, I get the german UI and there are no scripts in the perform Action/Executive script dropdown for the javascrip files.

switching the Browser to "englisch" - I get the english UI and the javascript files are visible in the dropdown.

Yes, I can reproduce it too (in Alfresco 201602GA). When switching to German UI, I neither see Specialise Type dropdown, nor remove/add aspect dropdown.

I always thought I had problems with my upgrade from 5.0d to 5.1 - thank's to the community I realize now, that it's not my fault :-), but a reproducible problem.

Issue "missing select values" with other primary language than english seems to be fixed in Alfresco Share v5.2.e.
