Hi,

I'm trying to get Alfresco Community 5.0C running on my Windows 7 64-bit machine which has Alfresco installed (by the windows installer). We have a 4TB Synology DS412+ NAS in RAID 10 which I'm wanting to store the system content on (and the database if that's the right thing to do!?).

I've mapped a new drive on the NAS to the computer as Z:/
After stopping the Alfresco Tomcat server I've changed the alfresco-global.properties dir.root to read: dir.root=Z:/Alfresco
It's a brand new installation so I have no existing data (other than the dummy content)that I need to preserve. From reading around on the forum it looks like I need to copy the contentstore and contentstore.deleted folders to Z:/Alfresco/ and then restart the tomcat service. When I do so, tomcat starts but I can't login. I get the error: Your authentication details have not been recognized or Alfresco may not be available at this time. My log is attached (hopefully that's the right one?).

I guess my question is twofold. What am I doing wrong in terms of changing the dir_root to a network drive? and secondly, should I be moving the database across to the NAS too and if so, how do I do that?

Many thanks in advance, sorry if it's a really simple one, I'm banging my head against a wall over it.
