Hi,

I recently joined a small company using Alfresco cloud version. We've paid for alfresco but a lot of our staff don't use it and one of the complaints is that it's slow.

Hence my question; what is the bandwidth requirements for alfresco cloud? (we have just 3Mbps link for the whole company via Fiber - including regular browsing + emails etc)

Would it be better to use the enterprise version that will run on premise?

thanks

It depends upon whether your issue is actually related to bandwidth or something else such as latency. Unfortunately there can be quite a lot of infrastructure between alfresco's servers and your web browser, each of which could be a problem. Or your bandwidth in the office may be going elsewhere.

3 Mbps should be enough bandwidth although is clearly on the small side these days.

I'd do a few quick test first .e.g. from home with more bandwidth to see if there was a difference. Or perhaps from somwhere where you know there is worse bandwidth. Next step after that is to start measuring times taken so you can begin to quantify what "slow" means.
