Edit Online not working with Office 2013

Just upgraded my laptop to Office 2013 and I am not able to edit online. No error, Word loads, but the document itself does not open.Works from home on Office 2007. Alfresco Community 4.2.0.

Absolutely! What logs would you like?

As far as what I tried to do. As normal I tried to use the "Edit Online" function. The one that opens the document directly from the website in Word/Excel/etc… The program opens, but the document does not. There is no error message. Typically when I was using Office 2007 Word/Excel would open, it would prompt me for login credentials and then a dialog box would appear that showed it was retrieving the document. None of this happens with Office 2013. Word/Excel opens but nothing after that.

I'll be more than happy to supply any logs. The main Alfresco log does not generate anything when attempting to open a document. Is there another log you want to see?

Same issue, opens office app with toolbars but white screen. Application is responsive. Which logs would help you guys?

I also have that kind of issue.
Using Office 2013, when I clic on "edit online" on share, my Word (or PPt Excell etc) open, but not the document itself.

I'm using Alfresco 4.2.b. And doesn't matter if I use IE, Firefox or Chrome.

Looks like it works with Office 2003 on another laptop.

Are you working in Explorer (/alfresco) or Share (/share)?

Hi Jeff,
I have tried Edit online in /share->site;s document library in Alfresco 4.2EE,Office 2013,Win 7. I also see same behavior Office word/ppt etc.. opens but not document itself.

For the Community Edition folks in this thread, it looks like there was an issue that was fixed in 4.2.d:

https://issues.alfresco.com/jira/browse/ALF-17262

Can you please test on 4.2.d, or, preferably, the latest version, which is 4.2.e.

For Enterprise, it looks like that particular issue was not reproducible on 4.2.0 Enterprise.

Hi Jeff, Yes its working for enterprise version, we had some firewall policy which was causing issue.

Another solution (problem could be) is to check the BasicAuth settings.

MS Office 2013 still does not work with the community edition 5.0.d, it's also not listed in https://www.alfresco.com/cmis/views/workspace%253A%252F%252FSpacesStore%252F14284638-0222-4871-8b06-66a5a378cd5a.
Only older office versions work ok. With Office 2013, the application opens but does not open the document, as described by the OP.

I'm seeing the same problem. I'm on 5.0.d. I've tried disabling the firewall and the problem persists.
