topic WebDAV - aos in Alfresco Archive

Is anyone able to replicate this issue when mapping a drive from a Windows machine to: https://alfrescoserver/alfresco/aos :

SUMMARY:
Each time an Office document is edited->saved->closed from the aos drive and then a copy/move is done right after, either to the local C: drive or to the same folder on the AOS mapped drive, the copy is wrong 100% of the time. The problems seem arbitrary. However, the contents of the file do not show the updates 100% of the time; and sometimes it can be as old as the first version of the document. Sometimes the file date time is incorrect.

When we tested with a text file opened in notepad there was no issue with updates being copied to the local computer drive.

Each time the same MS Office Document was dropped into an Outlook email the local document would be refreshed as soon as the "Send" button in Outlook was clicked. So it appears that, somewhere at the O/S level, the contents of the document were being cached. Most likely caused by some settings in Office.

We're on Enterprise 5.0.2

Appreciate any feedback.

Thanks,

Luciana

Hi,

We have noticed the same thing, however it does not seem to be for all users.

I have one user who consistently has the issue of copying from the mapped DMS drive to anywhere else. It will nearly always copy the wrong version of the file.

If he opens the original file however it is the correct content!

We are on community 5.1.0 (R127059-b7)

Thanks
Dave

I do consistently notice this on a both Community and Enterprise editions (I am only running in evaluation environment: Community 201609-EA Windows X64 and Trial of Enterprise Edition downloaded a few days ago).

Appear on two separate installations, both Windows, though.

The files on the fileshare are typically a few versions behind. Waiting a long time does not fix the issue. Restarting services does not either. Only fixed by restart of whole server.

Appears both for docx-files (created in Office2016) and txt-files created inside Alfresco.

In addition to that (maybe related), the preview of the files on "Document Details" in Alfresco are behind as well - but not consistently in sync with the files on the fileshare.

Are this normal behavior?

Regards

Kasper
