Using a VM on proxmox with 4 GB of ram and 4 cpu. &lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Search is lightning fast. &lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;If you are using the default alfresco-global.properties default settings then it should be using solr as default (4.2.d)&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Has searching always been that slow? &lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;I would try adding more ram to see if that helps.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Also, trying tagging items to cut down on wide searches.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>
