There is absolutely no need to - you can inject all the services you require by providing a field, a setter and the necessary "&amp;lt;property&amp;gt;" definition in the Spring context file. Have a look at &amp;lt;a href="&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;A href="http://wiki.alfresco.com/wiki/Custom_Actions#Configuring_in_Spring" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer"&gt;http://wiki.alfresco.com/wiki/Custom_Actions#Configuring_in_Spring&lt;/A&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;"&amp;gt;the Custom Actions wiki page&amp;lt;/a&amp;gt;.
