i have document under a /Demo/Parent/ and cannot update/checkout. while i can get and render the document by using its id.

Well, it seems inheritance is not on on /Demo/Parent folder, this is why you are not able to update/checkout it.

thanks for your reply. but i have tried it with "turned on" inheritance on "/Demo/Parent/" but no success. As user1 have no rights on "/Demo" but have cmis:all access on childs of "/Demo/Parent/" but still cannot modify (checkout/update) it. Note that i can search and access all childerns but cannot modify it. Is it logical???
