You should also point your dir.root=&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;PRE class="language-none line-numbers"&gt;&lt;CODE&gt;&amp;lt;path to old location&amp;gt;&lt;SPAN class="line-numbers-rows"&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;‍&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/CODE&gt;&lt;/PRE&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt; OR copy the old contents to a new location and then point dir.root to this.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Please refer this wiki page : &lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;A href="http://wiki.alfresco.com/wiki/Backup_and_Restore" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer"&gt;http://wiki.alfresco.com/wiki/Backup_and_Restore&lt;/A&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>
