Dear All, I have issue after installing alfresco-community-4.2.f-installer-win-x64 on Windows Server 2012, seems all works fine but Alfresco Tomcat can not be running. Exactly the same issue on Windows 8. Fresh install, nothing but windows java and Alfresco. Please any help, I have to get this in at a customere ASAP.

This is a problem with 4.2.f x64 bundle. I can confirm, it's not environment issue, it's developer mess up.
Try 4.3.a, it works: http://dev.alfresco.com/downloads/nightly/dist/

Add this: set JAVA_OPTS=-server -Xmx1024m -XX:MaxPermSize=256m this in bin\setenv.bat and start the tomcat server

I also had this same problem when trying to upgrade from 4.2e to 4.2f. I never was able to get 4.2f to work anywhere, however, 5.0.a works fine. Can you use 5.0.a instead?

after doing some modification on alfresco.global.properties i got below error

An error has occured in the Share component: /share/service/components/dashlets/my-sites.
