I don't understand what you are asking.

Alfresco can store as many documents for as many users as you need. There is no known limit. Alfresco installations with millions of documents managed by tens of thousands of users are common.

You can set up replication so that documents in one Alfresco repository replicate to another Alfresco repository running in some other location.

If you are migrating from another system you are probably going to have to export the data and import it into Alfresco. There are systems offered by partners that specialize in migrating data from other systems into Alfresco (see TSG OpenMigrate).

You can use Alfresco's open API to write any customization you want. Out-of-the-box Alfresco offers a replication service, which allows you to replicate documents from one Alfresco repository to another, but they are not editable in both systems. Replicated documents are only editable in the source system. If you want to just publish documents from one repo to the other you can do that with the API.

Alfresco can run just about any modern relational database. Most people run Community Edition on MariaDb/MySQL or PostgreSQL. Enterprise Edition customers often use Oracle, MS SQL Server, MariaDb/MySQL, or PostgreSQL.
