      <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Hi,&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;an Alfresco Module Package or AMP is "a collection of code, XML, images, CSS, etc. that collectively extend the functionality or data provided by Alfresco" as stated here &lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;A href="https://wiki.alfresco.com/wiki/AMP_Files" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer"&gt;https://wiki.alfresco.com/wiki/AMP_Files&lt;/A&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;You should always package your extensions in an AMP file and apply them on a original Alfresco installation, in order to keep things well separated/.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;This would be very useful when applying Alfresco patches.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Regards,&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Andrea&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>
