Sorry, but I never faced such an issue, because I never had such configurations, but I can try to help you however I can.

Try to enable debugs and check what will be displaied over there:
http://docs.alfresco.com/community/concepts/audit-debug-info.html
The file you should look for is log4j.properties on your installation and put some of the above properties.

Also what are your IE browser settings? What are your alfresco-global.properties entries?

Hi Boris,

Our config is pretty much out of the box to be honest. Not much changed apart from synching to our internal directory and some outbound email settings. I don't think auditing is really the route to go down, this seems like more an Internet Explorer issue - is there any setting in particular I should be looking at?
