Hi.We are having some problems with Alfresco 4.2.d The main usage is via cifs and sometimes when saving files (up to now it has only happened with xls / xlsx) these are corrupted and become 0kb. Has anyone ever had this problem? In the log I see the following errors:05:43:04,186 ERROR [org.alfresco.

It seems to be alfresco issue
May be some hint from this thread.

That thread is long dead. However the hint of making sure potential bugs are reported in JIRA is still good.

And there seem to be at least two problems here so please try to separate them and add more details. In particular your configuration settings for the authentication problem (the NBREQ error). If you can get a wireshark capture of the cifs network traffic and add it to the JIRA then that will help.

There then seem to be a thumbnail issue to do with your zero length file. The good news is that's a known issue, however the bad news is that it should have been fixed in 4.2.d so it looks like a regression.

Can you give me more information about the 0 length files? Why/When this happen? My 4.2.d is the community nightly build. is this bug fixed in the stable 4.2.d version?

No - you need to give more information first. Otherwise the problem cannot be investigated or diagnosed.

We are doing some test for upgrade from 4.2.d nightly to the new 4.2.d stable. Can you confirm that the problem of the 0 length files is fixed in the 4.2.d stable? Can you link me the JIRA issue?
