Modeling a checklist

Hi, I'm quite new to Alfresco development, and I am very enthusiast with it, but I have a modeling problem. Basically I need to model a "check list", every check item has several field end the entire list has an author, a date, and a status. I undesertand that I could use dataLists for this purpose,

Hi thanks for your support!
I saw your slides but I can't find what I need specifically, I understand how to manage custom content models but what I need is a model similar to dataList but with additional field on the list node, currently in Share when I create a new list the popup form asksme for title and description, I would like to extend that form.
