i need to sync only modified assets in my web project (irrespective of specific sandbox) to my desktop

There's a similar discussion going on on anther thread. What's wrong with deploying the content to a filesystem deployment reciever? And what do you mean by irrespective of a specific sandbox. Sandboxes are a fundamental part of working with Web Projects.
