Can anyone help here? I am having the same issue. A brand new install of Community 5.0.a, and the previous known good outbound SMTP server settings don't work.

I have a similar problem,
emails from workflow worked fine in 4.2.e,
it stopped working after upgrade to 5.0.a.

I build from svn.

I will further investigate to see if I can find the cause.
