First I have downgraded Alfresco to 5.0d and the problem stil persisted

Then I have changed service URL from
http://127.0.0.1:8080/alfresco/api/-default-/cmis/versions/1.1/atom
to
http://127.0.0.1:8080/alfresco/api/-default-/cmis/versions/1.0/atom

Now everything works fine.
I assume that this will also work on 5.1 version.
