Is it better to set 1 CPU or more ?&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;With a serveur RHEL 6.3 64 bits with Alfresco 4.0.d (or more) and Mysql.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;The JVM tuning (&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;A href="http://wiki.alfresco.com/wiki/JVM_Tuning" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer"&gt;http://wiki.alfresco.com/wiki/JVM_Tuning&lt;/A&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;) recommends multiple CPU but I don't know if it's not better to set only one with VMware.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Thank you.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Depends on lots and lots of things and not least the underlying hardware of your VMWare set up because that giverns the potency of a vCPU. For a small system with a few users we have a server (Ubuntu) with 2 vCPU and 3Gb RAM and it works very well.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;We started with 1 vCPU and that was really rather slow.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Bob Johnson&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>
