    <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;The binary packages of Alfresco are the same, but you are using the Community version of Alfresco and this means that the upgrade process is not supported and the upgrade paths provided for the Enterprise version don't work.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;For upgrading your Alfresco instance you should install ALL the alfresco Community versions step by step and for each step you must execute a cold backup of the repository.       <description>Hi,I am presently using Alfresco Version 3.4d 32bit installed on a Ubuntu Server. As I need to upgrade to the latest Alfresco version 4.2 or later, its understood that upgrade process cannot be done directly to 4.2 and it has to be to 4.0 first and then to 4.2. Also, 32 bit Alfresco community files</description>
