If you read the README of the Google Docs module it states: "This extension adds the ability to edit supported content items in Google Docs™ to the Alfresco repository and Share interface." So this allows you to export a document from Alfresco into Google Docs (Google Drive) for editing (potentially simultaneously with other users) and pull those changes back into Alfresco. It does not mention importing pre-existing documents from Google Drive into Alfresco. This is exactly the restriction that Jeff Potts highlighted in his response to the thread you linked.

I spent some time to google it, but have not found an answer. Installed Goggle drive locally, but there are only links (1K-size) to real docs and sheets. If I drag'n'drop that link (in example lhnet.gsheet) into alfresco document library, alfresco can't identify it as google sheet.I found that https:

Yes, I read the README. But the question was - how to import

Or, in another words, what I have to do to import.

Now I download i.e. googlesheet as an MS xls and then import. Not very pretty, but works.

Anyway, thanks for your time.
