Alfresco does have integrations with tools to do the scanning and OCR. For example with kofax.

And once docs are in alfresco then they are searchable.

However moving documents into SAP would not make sense. Alfresco ***IS*** a content repository, SAP is not. So it would make more sense to keep the docs in Alfresco and put a link in SAP.
