sharing admin rights?

I have set up a document collaboration site, which works very well with Alfresco. I now want to give someone else (or possiblly around six people) the rights to invite new member to the site.Can I do this? How?

I don't think this is possible in the current cloud release because the highest role site members can have is "Collaborator". There can only be one site manager. The ability to have multiple managers per site is a good feature request and I have logged it as such internally. It should be possible because that's how it works on-premises.

As far as i understand you, you can invite any user to the site with any role and then you can change permissions for the user:
Open the Site > open Site Members tab > find the user > and select "Manager" permissions for the user from drop down menu.

After the changes the user will be have possibility to invite other users.

Kallisto, you are correct for Alfresco on-prem but we are talking about Alfresco in the cloud here. Unless something has changed, sites in Alfresco in the cloud can only have one Manager and you cannot assign any other user Manager rights.

You are right. The reason I wasn't seeing it is that I was selecting someone who was not in my home network. So, for example, my site has a mix of alfresco.com people and other domains. Only people in the alfresco.com domain (my home network) can be made managers of my site. So it *does* allow multiple managers.

You can invite any user to the site but only users from your network can be promoted to manager.
You should invite any user (from your domain) with any role and then you can change permissions for the user:
Open the Site > open Site Members tab > find the user > and select "Manager" permissions for the user from drop down menu.
