Backup old content

HiIs there any way to migrate old content to history?I mean, i want to "delete" the old content, more than one year, from repository, but previously of "delete" i want to get the content and the metadata and export all of that into some other database or a plain text, and move the content from alf_d

In alf_data there are only bianary files of content resides and its location will be stored in alfresco so if you move the alf_data to some other plain file system it will be of no use.
you should refer the store management related documentation of alfresco so that you can figure out how to manage your old contents.
Actually there are couple of options I can tell you over here briefly which are

1) move pld contents to archive store
2) Create archival scheduler which delete all old files on regular intervals.

how can i configure an archival scheduler, and can i develope what to do at that moment? like a custom action?
