It seems that the way to create themes for Alfresco has changed.I created a new themes directory (myTheme), copied one of the existing theme directoryies and folders into this, changed the presentation.css and yui/assets/skin.css to change the theme name to myTheme.After restarting the server, this

We haven't changed the way that themes are defined. From your description it looks like you haven't created a new theme configuration file under "share\WEB-INF\classes\alfresco\site-data\themes" ?

I was pretty sure it was different in earlier versions, but as I said, it's been a long time since I did this.

Just as a matter of interest though, is it possible to deploy new themes using the new module deployment mechanism ?

I'm not sure how many releases you're going back to, but as far as I'm aware its never changed since Share has been based on Spring Surf (so going back to at least 3.4). In answer to your other question, the answer is unfortunately, no. The module deployment code doesn't look at all Surf objects so it wouldn't be possible to dynamically add a theme by deploying a module. You could package new themes up in a JAR but you would need to restart the server for them to be picked up.
