First thing is if possible migrate to lastest version of Alfresco 5.0
Second have you done any customization on existing instance of Alfresco?
Any errors in logs?
try with MaxPermSize to 512MB.

First of all i would like thankyou for your remarks and suggestions, i already tried with MaxPermSize = 512M , 1G, 2G, but still no effect, i check the tomcat server status, and every time enough ram has been spare during working on dashboard, regarding customization yes its customized by our old programmer, which left now, and i have no idea, where to start the troubleshoot. Plz guide me furhter..
