How to enable new user email notification in alfresco ?

When Admin user creates a new user account, an email should go to the created user's mail.How can I enable this? Can I do it in "alfresco-global.properties", If yes, how?

Emails are going when the admin user creates users by uploading .CSV file. Sending emails for new account creation is very common in all web sites, so I hope Alfresco would have done it already.
Please let me know, Why emails are not going while admin creates a single user by clicking "New User" button?

You can configure the fallowing properties in alfresco global properties.
mail.host=
mail.port=
mail.protocol=
mail.username=
mail.password=

then you are able to send mails

Yes You are right. I configured that and mails are going….

The question is ; why mails are not going for New Account Creation? Do I need to add any special configuration for this?

I too trying to send mails on user creation.
Mails are going when the admin creates user by uploading .csv file, but not in normal New User creation.
