Handling audit-trails and version history. Maybe to sync offline changes and access control. I don't know yet if I am one the wrong path or if there are better ways to solve this.

Best - Patrik

Hi,I'm testing the community edition.Does changes to files on a mapped network drive be reflected in the version history of the file in the community edition of Alfresco?BestPatrik

For what I remember yes, when you configure Alfresco as a virtual file system such as FTP, CIFS or WebDAV, when you drop a content with the same name it should replace the latest version with the one that you have just dropped in.

Anyway you can also configure operators as spaces that allow you to execute rules for updating existing content.

For example creating a dedicated space "Update" and attaching a rule with an action for executing the createNewVersion script.

I have to confess that I'm using only the Enterprise edition during these months, does anybody recently tested this scenario with the Community edition?

I would say yes, but if versionable aspect is applied to documents (via content rule for example).

Regards.

--C.
