Default User Quota

Hello.Anybody knows some way to set a default quota for all users or specific user groups? The only reference that I could find was this link http://jared.ottleys.net/alfresco/alfresco-default-quota-policy but I can't make it work at 4.2.d Community version. There's another practical solution?Thanks

I dont think default user quota can be set by configuration.

You need to do customization. Either java beahvior as mentioned in the bolg. [Can you also define if any issue you faced for this approach we might help you]

And other approach I can think of scheduler

1)Get all users with cm:sizeQuota is -1 or null usign lucene query
2)Set default value using ContentUsageService

This add on allows you to set the default quota for users in their home directory and also quotas for any folder in share

Is this add-on works for alfresco community 5.2 ?

When I look on gitHub, it's said that the last release is compatible with alfresco 4.2 ?

Could you tell me if there's an other way to set default quota ?

Hi,

I've installed the add-on and I can set a quota on a forder but I can't set a default quota when I create a user.
I've included these properties in <Install_alfresco>/tomcat/shared/classes/alfresco-global-properties

# Folder quota in bytes (10 Mb)
user.creation.default.quota=10737418 
folder.quota.core.pool.size=10 
folder.quota.maximum.pool.size=20 
folder.quota.thread.priority=5

I added some pictures in the home folder of my user test "quota"

When I execute :

curl -v -u admin:admin "http://192.168.1.30:8080/alfresco/service/keensoft/myfiles/quota/{quota}"

I get :

{"quota":104857600,"currentSize":21256673}

When I look at the user in the Admin tools, there is no information for the Quota field.

Alfresco out-of-the-box quota controls every content created by a user.

This addon controls only content created at user home. If you access to a user home folder, you'll see that 10 MB applied.

I can add pictures without limits even if my quota folder is set to 10 MB

Maybe if your user is created before installing the addon has no the right aspect applied.

Create a new user and test it again.

The user has been created after the installation of the addon.
For all of the users created before installing the addon, ther is no quota on their home folder.

It works.

Tested for 201707.

The problem is you are setting a quota of 100 MB, so you have still around 80 MB available.

How to change quota for a user exits on Home Folder?

I did your guide by execute command:

But i get error:

The API URL is

http://localhost:8080/alfresco/service/keensoft/myfiles/quota/

After that, you have to include the ID of the user. So finally, it should be something like:

http://localhost:8080/alfresco/service/keensoft/myfiles/quota/pat.tran

Not sure if that dot in the name is going to work, anyway...
