Hello,

I can't provide the solution for this as I am unable to access your machine / environment. But I will tell you that your issue is due to your SOLR not being setup correctly, not running on the port that is configured or you mistakingly configured SOLR instead of Lucene. So check your alfresco-global.properties for the configuration and verify that all applications Alfresco relies on are running - if you have configured SOLR for searching than that includes the SOLR server.
Most likely, if you are using the FirstFoundationClient to get familiar with Alfresco, you should stick to Lucene. The "index.subsystem.name" property in alfresco-global.properties should be set to "lucene".

Regards
Axel
