My users are getting confused with the "Title" of a document, as opposed to the name. I'm sure this isn't a unique case, but when people create documents from existing word documents, the "Title" metadata stays the same, and so we end up with lots of documents that have a "Title" that doesn't match what the document really is.

I'd like to just do away with the Title, and use Name, since that's what most people are familiar with and it suits our needs. I've configured share appropriately to not display title for properties and search, but I'd like to just set up a folder rule to clear out the cm:title property value when items are uploaded. I can't create a rule like this, though, because when I leave the field blank I get a popup saying I can't leave the value blank. So, I can't create the rule.

Is there a way to accomplish this easily?
