Why can't I get the docs I added in the search result?

Hi all,my alfresco version is 4.0.e. Now I have added some documents named like "test.txt". But when I input "test" in the search textbox, I couldn't get the "test.txt" but lots of file that resided in the system when installing. Do you have any kind of clustering environment or just simple instance?
Also make sure you are pointing to proper alf_store in your alfresco-global.property file.
And it may require just couple of seconds to sync the indexes so what happens if you try after some time or after restart?

I have tried your method but it still didn't work. So I reinstalled Alfresco and modified nothing, then it worked! It's supposed that it's due to my modification afterwards, like the changes in advanced search.
