create a content model, apply the model to the space and upload the documents with all the content model properties & search it.. alfresco do the runtime indexing.. if it is not happen

http://localhost:8080/alfresco/service/enterprise/admin/indexcheck

Re-index from specified txn id (eg. 123456789) type 1 and click on the re-index form button…

When you upload any document , it is automatically indexed by alfresco…

search for the document name in the search box……

Dear Murali,

Thanks for you replies. However my requirement is different. Let me explain elabarately. There is a set of documets we need to submit for a projects. THese document names are in an excel sheet. We have to first upload the sheet in the system and then we need to upload documents against the list. We need to track which are pending also as the excel sheet contains the submission date.

Any ways to reach this in Alfresco ?

This is possible…

Write a coding to call the excel file with row wise… Place the document into the respective location….

for documents uploading, you need access…

In the coding level give the top directory structure as \\servername\\alfresco
