4.0.e to 4.2.b upgrade failure

I am attempting to upgrade from 4.0.e to 4.2.b but are having problems.I am copying over my alf_data and adjusting the paths as I usually do in upgrading. I see the repository and documents in share but the search returns nothing and the "My Documents" shows "Error loading items". The log shows err

I managed to figure out a fix …

1. Stop Alfresco
2. Delete the alf_data/solr directory
3. Copy the alf_data/solr directory from the virgin installation (the directory state straight after the install script is run)
4. Delete the alf_data/solr/workspace/SpacesStore/index and alf_data/solr/archive/SpacesStore/index to initiate the rebuilding of the indexes
5. Generate new keys alf_data/keystore/generate_keystores.sh <=== I don't know if this is necessary
6. Restart. The reindexing takes some time (on my repository) but there are now no errors in the log and after a time the search returns results.
