Hi everyone,Need some help here.I managed to add Alfresco IMAP to my Thunderbird. But I faced 2 issues.a) In Data Dictionary, I can download the folders and files. But in Sites, it shows nothing. It should have 10 folders and many files. Any idea why?b) When I drag an email to data dictionary ->

The permission denied is probably correct - most users can't write to the data dictionary.

Don't know why the site is not showing up. You have covered the obvious point of it not being an Imap favorite. Have you "refreshed" after marking the site as an imap favourite?

Few things.

a) oh it is working now not sure what happen? now can see my favorite imap folder in sites

b) how come i can't store files into data dictionary? actually what is data dictionary for?

c) and my emails, should stored into

IMAP HOME -> user -> INBOX

But when I drag an email to the above folder, it shows me this error instead:-

Server myname@myemailserver.com has disconnected. The server may have gone down or there may be a network problem.

Any help? Thanks.

Hi chuawenching,

Could you please help me? how you configure your alfresco account in thunderbird? Could you please gave me the steps. My connection not get success. I am followed the steps in thunderbird

1) Create new account
2) Skip this and use my existing email
3) Mail account setup details are given
4) Continue
5) Manual Config
6) Your name : my name
   Email Address : my company email address, same is given to the my alfresco account.
   Password : alfresco account password
   Incomig
   ————————-
   incoming : change to imap
   server host name : change to my alfresco server ip address
   port : 143
   ssl : autodetect
   authentication : autodetect

Outgoing
————————–

cannot change, fixed to smtp

server host name : alfresco server ip address
   port : autodetect
   ssl : autodetect
   authentication : autodetect

username : alfresco account username

When testing connection through retest, get failed.

Changes made in alfresco global property file:

imap.server.enabled=true
imap.server.port=143
imap.server.host=alfresco server ip address.
