Hello,In Share there are sometimes files locked by users and we need to edit it quickly.How can we unlock a file (with admin account) ?Thanks

Hello,

unfortunately, there is no "Unlock" action defined by default in Share. If you need it done quickly, just use the Alfresco Explorer UI (as admin) which provides that action. If this occurs more regularily - as you indicate - then you would have to configure / implement a new action for the document library / document details views.

I have a document which is locked by its owner . I want to force unlock that document maintaining its version history.

Please suggest any solution or sureshot workaround.

Cancel editing , uploading new version,done editing i have tried but does not work.

Does it throws any error?
What is your alfresco version?

There is no error in the logs.(i have checked alfresco.log file)

In share: When i cancel on cancelediting it says 'could not cancel editing '

In alfresco ui : it says 'access denied - you do not have permissions '

But i am doing all this as an administrator

Alfresco version is 4.2
