Hi,
both exeptions are generated when your workflow (workflowInstance.getDefinition()) or task (task.getProcessDefinitionId()) does not have a definition.
So, maybe you've deleted some workflow/process definitions…or the problem is no more available because the process engine is disabled (jBPM/Activiti).

I had a feeling that it might be a disabled workflow engine, but the problem persists with both activiti and jbpm enabled. I guess it then has to be a missing definition. Any idea how I can remove the offending workflow/task instances?
