    <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Hi everybody,&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;i would know if is it possible to launch the emulation of CIFS on windows 2008r2 without have : \\servername&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;SPAN style="color:#808040;"&gt;A&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt; ?&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;On my actual installation of Alfresco 3.4 on Centos, i've configured the server in the file : /opt/alfresco/tomcat/webapps/alfresco/WEB-INF/classes/alfresco/subsystems/file-server.properties/default/file-server.properties and remove the "A" after ${localhost}.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;And it works… when i go on my cifs i don't need to use \\servernameA\alfresco but just \\servername\alfresco&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Thank you for your help.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Hi,&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Yes you can but you have specific configuration to do to run CIFS emulation of the Windows 2008 R2.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Have you switched off all the sharing services of Windows ? &lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;From my side the windows server name is different from the Alfresco server name. I didn't use the ${localname} but I have replaced it by the name that I would like for my server : Alfresco&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;I think we need more informations for helping you on that subject because it's a quite large one.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Good luck.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Alex.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Yes that's fine.&amp;nbsp; But there should be no need to hack the files below WEB-INF.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Just set cifs.serverName in your alfresco-global.properties.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>
