Greetings All!I want to create a custom action that allows users to print documents (as well as the document's comments) directly from the alfresco repository without downloading the document.How can I achieve that, please.Thanks.

well, where do you like to print your content? Is your printer addressable by the alfresco server?

Hello,

First google.co.uk search I tried was: "alfresco print document"
First result was https://forums.alfresco.com/en/viewtopic.php?f=53&t=43640

So basically to achieve this you'd need:
1- A specific print server offering an access with which you could interact
2- To write some code in order to implement this interaction

Maybe there's a browser plug-in that would enable you to print automatically but it seems like a terrible idea to install such a thing. Some people already have a hard time with unwanted popups, now imagine those pages could decide by themselves to get printed.

Parashift has an inexpensive module that can assist here. It's all very self explanatory, so have a gander at the following URL to checkout suitability. At this stage it doesn't do comments, but may in the future.
