    <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Short answer: AFAIK dir.root is supposed to point only to a single directory.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;But wait… if you look at the directory structure beneath &amp;lt;dir.root&amp;gt;/contentstore/ , you'll notice that its path structure is like &amp;lt;year&amp;gt;/&amp;lt;month&amp;gt;/&amp;lt;day&amp;gt;/etc. Thus, if you create the folder for each year in advance and attach to one of your SANs volumes, you might end up with your desired "volume per year" solution&amp;nbsp; &lt;img id="smileyhappy" class="emoticon emoticon-smileyhappy" src="https://connect.hyland.com/i/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.png" alt="Smiley Happy" title="Smiley Happy" /&gt; &lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;This adds of course a dependency to Alfrescos internal storage implementation (so in case of an product update you have to verify if this solution still works).
