Hi, i tried install alfresco on mac os x with apache tomcat and mysql-server. Please provide specific versions of your JDK, MySQL, Tomcat, and Alfresco.

hi I'm using jdk 1.7.0_11, Alfresco Community 4.2.c and apache-tomcat 7.0.34

The java.nio.channels.SeekableByteChannel class is part of JDK 1.7 so it is odd that you would be seeing a ClassNotFoundException. Is your JAVA_HOME set? Have you done something to alter your classpath?

i set JAVA_HOME=/Library/Java/Home , hmm i don't know if it's right directory for java installed on mac.

i found that /Library/Java/Home is a shortcut to java1.6.0's content. i did install jdk 1.7.0_11 and java preference on utilities is gone. how'd i solve this?
