Yes, of course, we do that already. If you go to the member list, you can sort members by number of posts and by number of points.

I also do monthly internal reports on various aspects of the forums that include top users in terms of number of posts and number of points for the prior period and for all-time. When able, I reach out personally to the top 10 posters for the prior period to thank them for their activity and to encourage them to keep up the good work.

This particular initiative is more about highlighting the partners who encourage their employees to spend time helping others in the forums. I'm doing it as an incentive to try to get more partners to encourage more of their employees to spend more time in the forums, and as a reward to recognize partners who already do that.

I want to be able to roll up forum usage/helpfulness stats to the partner company they work for, because I think it will be an interesting data point to me, those partners, and people who are looking to engage with a partner. On a side note, I think "Community Engagement" is one important measure of what makes a good partner.

Ultimately, I'd like to publish this kind of data in a more sophisticated leaderboard than what we have now so that it can be sliced and diced in various ways. This might enable some friendly competition between forum participants, whether they work for partners or not.

Jeff
