Hi,I had a problem with Alfresco not picking up my global properties file. It therefore built an alf_data directory under the tomcat directory when it started.I was helped on this forum to get over that issue by reconfiguring tomcat so that alfresco read in the correct dir.root directory. However

Upload the content again. You've deleted it all from underneath Alfresco, so it's gone.

Actually I have never uploaded any content. I have never even managed to get Alfresco to start. I'm still struggling with trying to install it.

If you have removed your content for alf_data then you need to drop and recreate your database. The database contains information for content you have removed, its not an indexing issue.

Thanks, once I did this and then increased the PermGen space in tomcat that seemed to fix it.
