So in theory you could just stop alfresco, replace the war files, and then start.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;But for 4.2.a you also need to upgrade to Java 7, and to Tomcat 7. Unless you use the installers, then you get them with the installer.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Not that just dropping in new war files is NOT recommended.
