Hi,

I have an alfresco Community - v3.2.0 (r2 2440) server running perfectly with ldap as subsystem for authentication. Now I am trying to configure access through cifs with the same authentication method but I can't get this solved. I could make cifs work, and I could authenticate with the system users but not through ldap.
I've got the authentication chain as follow:

authentication.chain=alfrescoNtlm:alfrescoNtlm,ldap:ldap

On alfresco-authentication.properties I have define alfresco.authentication.authenticateCIFS=false and I have set it as true on ldap-authentication.properties but not success.

I hope someone could help me with this.

Thanks in advance,

Irineo

The table at the wiki page http://wiki.alfresco.com/wiki/Alfresco_Authentication_Subsystems#What_are_the_Authentication_Subsystems.3F tells, that LDAP won't work for CIFS. You might try another authentication method (like passthru).

We haven't done this yet, thus I can't provide more details at this time (sorry). I gladly appreciate your experience :-).

Kind regards,
Markus

Hi,

Thanks for your quick reply.
Is there a way to make the users that have already authenticated thought ldap to be a system users too? I don't want to have people using different users for webinterface and CIFS. If we could do that, people will use the same name for auth even if its not against LDAP.

Thanks,

Irineo
