Cannot Change Password from IE9

I've just learned that my users accessing my Share site through Internet Explorer 9 are unable to change their password. They enter their Old Password, New Password and Confirm the New Password then hit "OK" - Nothing happens. No error, no messages in the logs, nada. The "Cancel" button continues to

I have the same problem for every pop up form (e.g. new Data list). The cancel buttons works, but the Submit button does not.

If I put the browser in IE8 mode it works fine, so if you are stuck just change your Browser modus to IE8.

I am updating my alfresco to use IE8 mode by default for the entire site until I find/get a fix.

We don't support IE9 yet. Clearly they've broken something (again - nice!). If anyone can narrow down the problem and contribute a fix I'm sure it would be appreciated.

The easy fix for IE9 would be to set the meta tag

<meta http-equiv="X-UA-Compatible" content="E=EmulateIE8" />‍

. This will make IE9 behave like IE8. I just have a client and they only use IE9 so that helped a lot.
