Is there any low threshold way to install and test Alfresco on a pc? Or do you really have to be a java programmer and enterprise network administrator to get started with Alfresco? Just run the windows installer and that should be it.

What exactly "doesn't work"? Does Alfresco Start? Are there any errors in your Alfresco.log ?

Any laptop with > 4GB of Ram from the last 5 years should be O.K.

I am trying to install Alfresco on my laptop, i have downloaded and already installed it, i am now trying to launch the alfresco share that is the 127.0.0.1:8080/share, but its not opening, please i need your assistance

Have you started alfresco? Are there any errors during startup? What platform are you using?
