Hiive already installed Alfresco 3.4.d community for windows but i have problem with tomcat (i think its tomcat). I am also having same issue on Linux.Just stopped..checked jvm looks good.

I can able to run alfresco now.Stop the Openoffice also.Run the tomcat and mysql.

i have a problem when i start alfresco,and i think the problem is tomcat but i can'nt what i should do, like this output :

PID file (/opt/alfresco-3.4.d/tomcat/temp/catalina.pid) found. Is Tomcat still running? Start aborted.

after that iam start URL http://localhost:8080/alfresco

can not find these URL why ?
may be, any one help me please ?

the error shows that tomcat was running with some process id

ps -efl .. kill the process

shutdown the tomcat running on your machine & restart the tomcat
